Description
Structured French Four is our fourth level and completes our Beginner programme. It consolidates the structures introduced in the previous levels before moving to past narration.
At this stage, learners refine sentence construction through more advanced use of prepositions and verbs, including extended work on -er and -ir verbs, irregular verbs, and pronominal verbs. Greater depth is given to negation, questions, and article usage, while a wider range of connectors enables more organised speech.
A key development at this level is the introduction of past narration, including the recent past and the imperfect tense, allowing learners to describe situations and events with greater nuance.
Vocabulary expands around practical themes such as the city, directions, places, and nationalities, reinforcing real-life communication.
As always, each concept is introduced progressively and practised systematically to ensure accuracy and confidence.
