Apolline specialises in Academic French. She has a strong grammar knowledge and can help you structure your writing and your ideas around a given topic, and that, thanks to her university curriculum. Outside of her specialisation, she can teach adults and children of any level, beginners, intermediate and advanced. She can also help you with any exams, such as, DELF, DALF, TCF, GCSE or A level.
She has started tutoring French in France while studying in La Sorbonne (Paris) to foreigner students in years below her. Since she has moved to London she has been tutoring French to adults and children from the age of 5. She is DBS checked.
Apolline is an enthusiastic, committed and positive person with plenty of patience. She is really good at listening and explaining concepts that one might find difficult. Her clients say she is a lovely and fun individual and that she is also easy to talk to.
She believes, mistakes are an essential part of learning and therefore, it is important to feel confident and at ease when learning a new language, in order to fully participate during your lessons.
On top of French and English, she also speaks Italian. She has learnt English from the age of 6 and Italian from scratch and therefore understands how difficult it can be to become familiar with a new language.
Every lesson follows the Structured French methodology that we have refined over more than a decade. Rather than relying on improvised conversations or disconnected exercises, our curriculum follows a carefully designed progression where vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and conversation develop together. Each lesson is supported by our collection of twelve books, ensuring every student benefits from the same structured learning experience.
